Real Proptech took place recently in Frankfurt

TOPICS:Data analytics / Monitoring

Real Proptech, one of the largest trade fairs for digitization in German-speaking countries, took place recently in Frankfurt. ESG was once again one of the key topics. The challenges of sustainability cannot be addressed without a massive expansion of digital systems.

Torsten Butz, Head of Sustainable Investing was invited as a representative of Generali Real Estate to the panel "Digitization - where does all the data come from?" in which he discussed the matter with representatives of KPMG and the Fraunhofer Research Institute. Generali Real Estate already uses market leading tools for energy and ESG reporting and has also integrated ESG into its portfolio and the "Desyre" asset reporting tool. Indeed, data standardization in an international context is a major challenge. “Perhaps the biggest challenge is still data entry. Even if there are already systems that use artificial intelligence, it starts with people, whose tasks in ESG are currently growing rapidly. In addition, ESG is a fast-moving target”.
